Platinum PADI Course Director – 2014
Once again I feel very privileged to be awarded the prestigious Platinum PADI Course Director award for 2014.
I truly love the work that I do, and I truly love every single person that I’ve worked with over the past 14 years since I became a PADI Course Director.
I have been lucky enough to have been awarded Platinum Status every single year since the award was first issued back in 2005.
Since 2005, the world has changed a lot. People have changed, and so have PADI Courses.
Platinum PADI Course Director – 2014 changes
As the world has changed, so has PADI. Each course, new and old needs to be taught with new and fresh techniques suited to the modern world. A world that has been conditioned by Google, Facebook and the Internet in general to have a much shorter attention span than the customers of 10 years ago.
PADI Instructors have to adjust their teaching styles to accommodate new methods, and Course Directors have to change to continue to be successful.
The New Open Water course is designed for the modern customer. It’s designed with a “let’s just do it!” ethos.
New PADI Open Water Course
Very soon I’ll be running a one day course explaining to PADI Divemasters and PADI Open Water Instructors how to teach this new course. It’s not just about adding in a few extra skills, it’s much more suited for the modern customer.
