How to Install PADI PLGs to a Mac computer
Over the past couple of years I have found that many IDC candidates have had a problem with loading the PADI Prescriptive Lesson Guides onto Macintosh computers.
After a lot of trial and error, head scratching and mails to PADI we have finally found a solution.
Bobby Parsons, an IDC Candidate on our Ocean View IDC showed his tenacity in getting to the bottom of the problem, so we can now share the steps that you’ll have to take. You’ll have to be patient at first! But once you have followed these steps, you’ll find that you will be able to use the PLGs with your Mac.
First off you’ll have to open each PPT file individually. This is where the patience comes in! each file will take a long time, even up to 15 mins for the KR files. The computer is taking time because it is converting the file to be compatible with it’s own format. You must then Save each file. The good news is, is that the File will be saved with the new format. So from then on, it should open without problems.
